The Story of Stacy Donuts
– Handcrafted by Hiro
From Japanese precision to Texas flavors,
Stacy Donuts blends family legacy with artisanal passion in Allen & Fairview.

Where
It All Began
Stacy Donuts was born in 2007, started by Ji’s father.
For over a decade, it became a favorite spot in Allen & Fairview for delicious, freshly made donuts.
When Ji’s father decided to pass down the shop, Ji and her husband Hiro took on the challenge. Hiro, a former Omakase sushi chef, worked tirelessly to learn everything about the craft of donut making. Together, they honored Ji’s father’s original recipes while introducing Hiro’s unique touch.
Today, the shop is affectionately known by many as 'Hiro Donuts' or 'Hero Donuts,' reflecting Hiro’s dedication and artistry in every creation. And yes, Ji’s father still visits to ensure the donuts meet his high standards – a tradition that keeps the family’s heart alive.

Hiro's Journey
From Japan
to Texas
Hiroshi Yamamoto, or 'Hero' as customers call him, grew up in a small coastal village in Japan. His family has been farming green tea for six generations, instilling in him a deep respect for quality and tradition.
After an injury ended his judo career in high school, Hiro dreamed of crossing the Pacific Ocean to discover what lay beyond. This dream brought him to America.
Before joining Stacy Donuts, Hiro built an impressive career as a sous chef in Japanese restaurants and Japanese izakaya, a Japanese Green Tea Advisor, and even the president of a Japanese agricultural export company.
In Dallas Uptown, he became an Omakase sushi chef, mastering precision, creativity, and balance.
Now, at Stacy Donuts – or 'Hiro Donuts' as many call it – Hiro brings this passion to every donut, blending Japanese artistry with Texas flavors.
